  • Erin, an experienced Executive Director, is currently guiding Tuesday’s Child in an interim capacity, strategically aligning the organization for scalable impact and preparing for the next Executive Director.

Tuesday's Child's Managing Director, Emily Winsor
  • Emily joined Tuesday's Child in 2024. She is a board certified behavior analyst.

    Before joining our team, she served as the Clinical Director at ABA Midwest and the Director of Clinical Services at Reach ABA.

    She holds a Master of Education (MEd) in special education and teaching from Endicott College.

  • Dede is a dedicated educator at our TC Scholars Preschool, where she passionately helps children achieve their full potential.

    Before joining Tuesday’s Child, Dede was a lead academic teacher in PreK for two years, honing her skills and expertise.

    She is a Teach for America Corps alumna and has a master’s degree in early childhood education from National Louis University, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team.

  • Dr. Lavigne is a clinical child psychologist and co-founder of Tuesday’s Child.  She received her doctoral degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She did her clinical training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which included a postdoctoral fellowship in neurodevelopmental disorders. In addition to her work with Tuesday’s Child, Dr. Lavigne has worked on a child psychiatric inpatient unit, established a private practice serving children and adolescents, provided training and consultation to public and private agencies, and served as an assistant clinical professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (Psychology) at Feinberg School of Medicine of Northwestern University. Dr. Lavigne strongly believes that early intervention has a powerful impact on a child’s development and that parents are a critical part of intervention. 

Fran Smith, Teacher
  • Fran has been an integral part of Tuesday’s Child since 1982, initially joining as a community volunteer before becoming a cherished member of our teaching staff.

    Previously, Fran spent two years with the Peace Corps working on an infant survival program and served as a special education assistant in the Chicago Public Schools.

    She has a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois–Chicago and has pursued professional development in special education at Northeastern Illinois University.

  • JoAnne was the Director of Parent Education at Tuesday’s Child for 20 years and recently transitioned to Intake Coordinator, where she meets with prospective clients to discuss their child’s strengths and behavioral concerns and inclusion in the program.

Richard Arend, Clinical Psychologist
  • Richard, PhD, joined Tuesday’s Child in 1987 and supports the Saturday behavioral intervention services.

    He has extensive experience in individual and family psychotherapy, school consultations, crisis intervention, and parent education.

    Richard earned his doctorate from the University of Minnesota's Institute of Child Development, where he researched mother-infant attachment and its impact on children's competence.

Connie Weil, Clinical Psychologist
  • Connie, PhD, joined Tuesday’s Child after a distinguished career at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, where she evaluated and treated families and children.

    Her expertise includes mood and behavioral challenges, severe food allergies, and supporting infants post-NICU.

    She earned her doctorate in child and family psychology from Michigan State University.

  • Manal holds a Master’s of Education degree from Northwestern University. She graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

    Manal became a Registered Behavior Technician in 2020.
