Personalized Behavioral Support for Chicago Families Since 1980

About Tuesday’s Child

Founded by Dr. Victoria Lavigne, a clinical child psychologist, and Katherine Augustyn, an early childhood specialist, Tuesday’s Child has been a beacon of hope for families since 1980.

Our roots at Lurie Children’s Hospital (formerly Children’s Memorial Hospital) laid the foundation for a mission centered on transforming lives through personalized behavioral support.

At Tuesday's Child, we don’t diagnose issues or disorders. Instead, we focus on enhancing behavior and preparing children for long-term success.

We specialize in addressing behavioral challenges with customized programs for parents and children, ensuring each family's unique needs are met with precision and care through our evidence-based approach.

Our dedicated staff members and volunteers go above and beyond to create a nurturing and supportive environment. Their genuine care has fostered a loyal community of supporters, vital to our expansive referral network.

We champion accountability to ensure that every interaction and intervention is rooted in integrity and transparency.

Our commitment to balance fosters a nurturing environment where parents and children can thrive, supporting their emotional and behavioral well-being.

Through collaboration, we unite with families and communities to create a supportive network that drives positive change.

We believe in fairness and growth, providing equal opportunities for every child to reach their full potential, and continuously evolving our methods to meet their unique needs.
