Child Behavior Workshops for Parents and Teachers

Parent Education Workshop

Parenting with Confidence

Tuesday’s Child provides workshops for parents to learn evidence-based positive behavior intervention strategies which  they can implement at home with their children. Workshops can be customized to meet the needs of the audience, such as focusing on specific areas of concern or the logistics of the actual presentation schedule.

Tuesday’s Child’s Parenting with Confidence workshop offers specific strategies to create peaceful routines and foster cooperation. Parents will leave with effective phrases that encourage positive behavior both at home and beyond. We’ll also explore alternatives to yelling and threatening to achieve desired outcomes.

Our workshops are available for both English and Spanish-speaking families. It is recommended that workshops be presented separately for each group so that all families can get the most out of their time. This structure also promotes inclusion of culturally significant content and fosters supportive discussions that can greatly benefit all families in our community.

Parents Will Learn To:

  • Understand challenging behaviors as a form of communication

  • Plan ahead to proactively avoid problems rather than respond reactively

  • Use attention to encourage prosocial behavior

  • Incorporate simple parenting scripts that increase cooperation
