Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder affects up to 9.5% of all children. Over 65% of children diagnosed with ADHD exhibit behavioral issues as a result. Tuesday’s Child can help your family manage those challenging behaviors.

Does your child have ADHD?
Is your child always on the move?
Does your child have a hard time listening and following directions?
Do you find yourself exhausted trying to manage your child’s behavior?
Raising a child who has high energy or is easily distractible can be confusing and exhausting. Standard parenting practices often do not work, which can lead to frustration for everyone involved.

A child with ADHD might:

  • have a hard time paying attention
  • daydream a lot
  • not seem to listen
  • be easily distracted from schoolwork or play
  • forget things
  • be in constant motion or unable to stay seated
  • squirm or fidget
  • talk too much
  • not be able to play quietly
  • act and speak without thinking
  • have trouble taking turns
  • interrupt others

What can you do?
Tuesday’s Child should be the first stop for children diagnosed with ADHD:
According to new standards, adopted by the American Academy of Pediatrics, “The first-line treatment for ADHD in children under the age of six is evidence-based behavior therapy administered by the parent and/or teacher. An effective behavior therapy program needs to include behavior modification principles and teach parents through role play and practice with their child to provide positive reinforcement for appropriate behaviors and effective discipline for inappropriate behaviors.”

Tuesday’s Child’s Behavioral Intervention is that program – offering solutions to address the challenges families like these face through individualized training for both parents and children.

How Tuesday’s Child Can Help
Our evidence-based Behavioral Intervention program has helped hundreds of families understand their child’s ADHD and how to manage their symptoms and behavior. Our individualized services for both parents and children helps you, as a parent, to effectively confront your child’s development and behavior in a way that is sensitive to your child’s unique needs.

We strive to provide families with practical tools in a judgment-free environment. Parents are able to access clinical services and build a strong peer-support network. Children are placed in supportive, behaviorally focused classrooms designed to introduce and reinforce the scripts and techniques you will learn in the program.

The Behavioral Intervention program works on four main areas with children, all of which will benefit children with ADHD:

  • Time on Task
  • Compliance
  • Participation
  • Socialization
